Edinburgh city tour wedding photography | Mr and Mrs Towers

Hello everyone. Today I will have a little different wedding photography story. Something what I did few time last year and few times this year as well.

We will talk about after wedding photography. Yes few of you might think that this sounds crazy, to get dressed again and do more photos with photographer. You will be surprised how many couples are really considering to do this and have already done it with me.

Graeme and Karolina got married back in Poland, but unfortunately weather was not at the best and they didn’t get any outdoors photos. They came back to Edinburgh city and decided to have nice photos around town. First I met Graeme at one of my previous Edinburgh weddings and he asked me if I could create some images for them.

I really like idea of no stress walking around town shots. Give s time to stop, think and just enjoy easy. Guys sent me a list of locations they would like to be photographed and I went for little scouting and thinking. We had few old town locations and Crags.

It was lovely saturday morning, sun shining and walk trough the old town was very beautiful. I actually don’t go to town that often, purely because it is always crowded with tourists. That morning actually it was pretty good. Walked around my places and went to meet the couple.

Just as we met and started to chat, rain started. Like from nowhere :) Typical Edinburgh weather. Picked up umbrella from the booth and rained stopped for rest of the day :) It was just very crisp chilly. Guys did very well and we tried not to stay in each place for long.

Here is little selection of their Edinburgh city chamber wedding photos. You will be asking where is famous Edinburgh castle shot with fountain. Well…fountain was covered with fence :( We sneaked in for photos, but it wasn’t most pretties site. Not sure why they fenced it off.

Enjoy images.

Just loved this session. Those who have followed me for a while know that I’m a bit daft on wide open landscape shots with couples in them.  Yes they look tiny, but just love creating these type of images. Represents the space where they are and looks great in large prints :)

Would you like to find out more about my wedding photography? Click here to ask questions or schedule an appointment I would love to chat with you.

Thank you all for coming along and I shell see you back here real soon.

Regards,

Armands

It meant the world to us to be celebrating this day with our family and friends. It was fantastic to see everyone getting to know one another during the day then ceilidhing the night away. In the wonderful whirlwind of the day, we did manage to find a few quiet moments to reflect. We were very lucky to spend a lot of these with Armands whose great chat kept us laughing from picture to picture.
We wanted to give everyone who came a little something to take away with them as a thank you for celebrating with us. We had a great time making all the coin cufflinks and stamp brooches (Stephen’s ByJove designs came in very handy!) It was even better when we realised that some guests brooches perfectly matched their outfits!

Today I want to share with you my last wedding on 2012 with awesome couple Brona and Ben. Generally I provide Edinburgh wedding photography, but this time we went across to Kingdom of Five, to Balbirnie House Hotel. We were hoping to have nice white winter wedding, but in Scotland mother nature is a bit unpredictable. We had quiet rainy and cold day, so outdoors wedding photography was run run run and quick quick quick.

I had an honor to be a wedding story teller for Chuck and Jen and OMG how busy and beautiful two days we had. They came all the way from Canada to have a beautiful and romantic wedding. From the very start I knew that this day will be very different. Just by listening to outline on what they would like for their wedding photography and the venues they have picked, it all sounded like day full of fun and plenty of great opportunities to create gorgeous portraits for them.

  • Lisa and Joseph – A Winter Hopetoun House Wedding

Hopetoun House Manor made for a beautifully imposing venue – quite possibly the grandest of all wedding venues in Edinburgh, decorated for Christmas charm.
The bride arrived, and this was it. All of the planning, and it comes to that poignant moment where the bride and groom meet at the alter.
The twenty-four hour countdown had begun – and I met the happy couple to-be at the breath-taking venue of Hopetoun House (a venue that could easily claim a title amongst the most beautiful places to get married in Edinburgh).
Photography ideas were discussed, a yearlong wedding plan came together and Lisa and Joseph flipped between excitement and nervousness. As is obligatory – we hoped, prayed and crossed our fingers for good weather, doing a mental sun dance as we walked through the ceremony together.

I loved many parts of the ceremony :) I loved how both of them Saraid-Jane and Stuart talked about Stuart’s jokes which apparently are not funny :) it made a lot of giggles in the room. I really loved the reading about dinosaurs. I think it was really sweet and awesome. Treasure that book guys. Story was beautiful.
Morning part with girls was filled with laughs and Mr and Mrs Newton were busy prepping up everything in kitchen. I loved how relaxed was Mr Newton, very cool and so happy for his daughter. When Mrs Newton said that she made her dress, I was like whaaaat?! Wow it looked amazing, I must say.
Stuart is quiet serious man, but boys had fantastic morning with my second photographer. By looks he tried to keep his cool :) You could see that closer to ceremony he started to be pretty nervous.

  • Archerfield House wedding photography | Gillian and Gary

This was my first time at the venue and I was really looking forward to explore my possibilities here. I love how they have access to the waterfront, have nice forest type of garden and the houses are awesome. Reminds me a lot Scandinavian style with a Scottish twist. The sizes of the getting ready houses for both boys and girls, are just enormous. Loads of space just to sneak away and have a quiet time away. Ballroom has great twinkle light ceiling and serves as great backdrop for those beautiful first dance shots.
