A little bit about the day.

I loved many parts of the ceremony :) I loved how both of them Saraid-Jane and Stuart talked about Stuart’s jokes which apparently are not funny :) it made a lot of giggles in the room. I really loved the reading about dinosaurs. I think it was really sweet and awesome. Treasure that book guys. The story was beautiful.

The morning part with the girls was filled with laughs and Mr and Mrs Newton were busy prepping up everything in the kitchen. I loved how relaxed was Mr Newton, very cool and so happy for his daughter. When Mrs Newton said that she made her dress, I was like whaaaat?! Wow, it looked amazing, I must say.

Stuart is quite a serious man, but the boys had a fantastic morning with my second photographer. By looks, he tried to keep his cool :) You could see that closer to the ceremony he started to be pretty nervous.

During our creatives photos part, I scouted a few places where to go for photos. We found a nice little place with garage doors. I quite liked that. We also got access to the private garden and during the session older lady came to me and said if I want, I could use her garden too :) I think it was very nice of her. We create many fantastic images during that 40 min window. It is always flying by, but since we have done scout, guys were more relaxed about the whole process.

Lets have a look at their complete Mansfield Traquair wedding photography story.

I loved how these two were connecting. Saraid-Jane is very easygoing and complements really well Stuarts seriousness. There is a nice balance and when Stuart gets a bit bored, there is her little sparkle which lifts his spirit. Most likely Stuart is trying to crack a joke and Saraid-Jane just gives him a hug and laughs :)

Big congratulations to Mr and Mrs Houston!!!

  • Mark and Isla’s atmospheric wedding at Edinburgh Castle.

Atmospheric Edinburgh Castle served as beautiful background for Isla and Mark’s wedding day. This was my first wedding at the Edinburgh Castle and I was specially excited to create some fantastic wedding photography artwork. Lots of planning and thinking went into this, but due to high winds at the castle we had to skip few of ideas :) Wedding photos still look amazing and I’m really happy to share these with you. Now I can definitely say that whatever weather is on Princess street , it is not up at the castle. The wind was sooo strong that ladies hats were flying off and Isla’s veil was always finding a way to be in front of her face.

  • The Byre at Inchyra Wedding photography | Sheonagh and Richard

It was my pleasure to document Mr and Mrs McPhee day at The Byre at Inchyra wedding. During our initial meetings these guys kept telling me how camera shy they are. Definitely not true, I simply could not get very serious faces from these guys. Both of them kept giggling and having a great time.
Day before wedding it was pretty stormy day and I started to get a bit nervous, but I shouldn’t. I think guys very praying pretty hard and they managed to set their ceremony outdoors. Crisp dry and sunny morning led everyone in pretty relaxed moods and day could start.

  • Dunglass Estate Wedding Photos – L&A

It was my pleasure to be part of beautiful Dunglass Estate Wedding with Lauren and Adam. My first time there and must say church did impress me. In spring time I went for a scouting and I wasn’t sure how this will look like on wedding day. Guys did absolutely gorgeous job and everything was very well taken care of. Beautiful decorations with flowers, vases and small details trickled around the venue. Thank you florist and wonderful staff at Dunglass. Hats off.

  • Edinburgh wedding photography | Balbirnie house

Today I want to share with you my last wedding on 2012 with awesome couple Brona and Ben. Generally I provide Edinburgh wedding photography, but this time we went across to Kingdom of Five, to Balbirnie House Hotel. We were hoping to have nice white winter wedding, but in Scotland mother nature is a bit unpredictable. We had quiet rainy and cold day, so outdoors wedding photography was run run run and quick quick quick.

  • Principal hotel Edinburgh Wedding Photos | Newsomes

Where to start on Aga and Mike. First we met at the wedding show. Guys booked me then and I invited them for a tester shoot. You really get to know people when you photograph them. You see all their quirky sides. These two were just giggling away. Oh my god, we had so much fun :) I loved the fact that they connected so well. They knew how to pull the best out of each and overload of smiles were coming very naturally. I love how Aga scrunching her nose when she has lots of laugh. Mike loves supporting Aga and I think no matter what life will kick at them, they are awesome team to tackle it.
We had to do a bit of planning. If you are after some shots with foliage background, you have to go to the Queens street gardens. I was a bit concerned on how much time we have and if we would be able to do everything I planned.

  • Dave and Julie’s wedding story at Broxmouth Park

This was my first season opening wedding. I was really looking forward to   Reiss wedding. Especially because they were planning to have outdoors ceremony. Up till last minute we still didn’t know if this will be indoors or outdoors wedding. Weather was a bit funny, but I trusted Metoffice predictions. Kept saying to Julie, ” don’t worry it will awesome weather from 2 pm onwards” and it was absolutely splendid weather. You could not ask for better day.
Once again Simon, the owner of the Broxmouth Park, took really great care of the big day and everything was brilliantly organised. Love how couples get very special treatment from him and everything is nicely personalised. I will say it again, one of my favourite boutique wedding venues in East Lothian.
