Inchcolm Island wedding photography | Sally and Chris

Last Updated on 24/01/2024 by

Hello everyone. Last week I had a chance to photograph beautiful and very emotional wedding. One of the big days parts was Inchcolm Island wedding photography and I always love to create stories there. It is always a bit tricky with time, but with a bit of running around, we still managed to create beautiful portraits for Sally and Chris. Our day started at the Hopetound House with bridal preparation, while boys took ferry to Inchcolm to prep everything there. My second photographer Lucy managed to create some cracking images of boys and Chris got some moves there :) Loved Chris’s tweed suit, looked awesome. Sally had beautiful dress with gorgeous shoes to match up. One of the best pair of wedding shoes I have seen so far :) Ceremony was very emotional and you could see how much Chris and Sally love each other. Definitely also one of the most emotional wedding ceremonies I have seen. Just beautiful day we had.

After ceremony party went on vintage bus and headed to Edinburgh where meal was served at the Counting house. We did fun confetti rain and some beautiful evening photography.

Thanks to all boys for help on the day and big congratulations to Mr and Mrs Nicolson!!!! I can’t wait to have beautiful after wedding session with them at their farm. It will be another awesome shoot.

Like always it was hard to pick images, but here is little story how the day went.

Where to start on Aga and Mike. First we met at the wedding show. Guys booked me then and I invited them for a tester shoot. You really get to know people when you photograph them. You see all their quirky sides. These two were just giggling away. Oh my god, we had so much fun :) I loved the fact that they connected so well. They knew how to pull the best out of each and overload of smiles were coming very naturally. I love how Aga scrunching her nose when she has lots of laugh. Mike loves supporting Aga and I think no matter what life will kick at them, they are awesome team to tackle it.
We had to do a bit of planning. If you are after some shots with foliage background, you have to go to the Queens street gardens. I was a bit concerned on how much time we have and if we would be able to do everything I planned.

  • Scottish Hong Kong wedding photography at Dalhousie castle

This was Scottish Hong Kong wedding photography at Dalhousie castle. Guys traveled all the way from Hong Kong and had very small and intimate wedding. Even for such a small wedding there was so much love around. Guys had a great fun and it was my honour to photograph their  special day. This year I’m photographing more weddings from abroad then actual Edinburgh based weddings. I have had couples from U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zeland and I LOVE it.

  • Edinburgh city tour wedding photography | Mr and Mrs Towers

Graeme and Karolina got married back in Poland, but unfortunately weather was not at the best and they didn’t get any outdoors photos. They came back to Edinburgh and decided to have nice photos around town. First I met Graeme at one of my previous Edinburgh weddings and he asked me if I could create some images for them.
I really like idea of no stress walking around town shots. Give s time to stop, think and just enjoy easy. Guys sent me a list of locations they would like to be photographed and I went for little scouting and thinking. We had few old town locations and Crags.

  • Edinburgh Carberry tower wedding photographer | Carters

I had my first experience as Edinburgh Carberry tower wedding photographer. Venue was fresh and massive renovation was just done. My first time here as wedding photographer but few weeks before that I did Davids and Jen’s pre wedding session there as well. You can see their story here   There is such a huge potential for wedding photos that I could spend there days photographing couple :) A day before wedding there was a heavy rains and on the day it was a bit on and off rain, but we managed to cover most of my wishes and I’m really pleased for result. Few of ideas you have seen before, but not at this venue :)

  • Dave and Julie’s wedding story at Broxmouth Park

This was my first season opening wedding. I was really looking forward to   Reiss wedding. Especially because they were planning to have outdoors ceremony. Up till last minute we still didn’t know if this will be indoors or outdoors wedding. Weather was a bit funny, but I trusted Metoffice predictions. Kept saying to Julie, ” don’t worry it will awesome weather from 2 pm onwards” and it was absolutely splendid weather. You could not ask for better day.
Once again Simon, the owner of the Broxmouth Park, took really great care of the big day and everything was brilliantly organised. Love how couples get very special treatment from him and everything is nicely personalised. I will say it again, one of my favourite boutique wedding venues in East Lothian.

It is time to share with you awesome wedding I photographed few weeks ago. Wedding where everything was with massive wow factor. I mean everything. I haven’t seen such attention for detail for a while. Be warned, AWESOME word might come out few times here :) One of the best wedding suppliers in Edinburgh came together and made this happen. Energy, love and more love. Plus massive injection of creativity.
Loved to see how not only girls have beautiful connection during this wedding, but boys equally had awesome time. It was very nice to see how best man really was holding it together during the ceremony. Mike you are truly best friend. Loved your speech about business partners :) Dads strawberry story was very nice touch too.
