 Broxmouth Park photos

East Lothian Broxmouth  Park  | Mr and Mrs Skinner

Hello everyone. Today I will share with you Gemma’s and Andrew’s wedding photography story. It was an absolutely fabulous day, much fun and great photography.

If you haven’t been at the venue, please check out my Broxmouth Park venue guide.

I love coming back to Broxmouth Park. One of my favourite wedding venues in East Loathian.

The day started as usual with boys and girls getting ready. Boys had a few drinks and Andrew climbed on the rooftop of his Defender :)

Girls had a lot of giggles and Gemma’s mum maid awesome bridesmaids dresses. My jaw dropped when I was told that she makes those. Honestly, girls, if you are after beautiful dresses, speak to Gemma’s mum :)

The ceremony was beautiful, and the venue has a unique staircase which is used for wedding ceremonies and a lovely big group shot. After the ceremony, we did an elegant and relaxed wedding group photos.

This is one of those moments during the wedding where I have to be really on the ball and get through as quick as I can. I photograph all formals and have a second photographer who does all my candids wedding photos. You will be able to see them during the story as well.

We did a beautiful test shoot prior to the wedding. I always do photography run trough so that on the day we move faster and we know what we are doing, plus couples are always a lot more relaxed on the day :)

Venue setting is beautiful, and it gives you so so much to try out. It is one of those places where I could shoot all day long :)

There was a nice moment during the speeches when Gemma had a present from the guests. It was a beautiful stain-glass window. We got a bit emotional, but it is all part of the big day. Happiness, smiles, hugs, tears all of that was happening throughout the day, and it was such an honour to be the storyteller of the day.

Finished with some of my signature evening photos and I tried a few new things as well. The venue has an awesome big mirror, and I had an idea to create a film feel set where the couple would be fixing themselves up – applying lipstick and Andrew fixing his tie. I love those dark images and hope you will like my evening stuff as well.

  • Mark and Isla’s atmospheric wedding at Edinburgh Castle.

Atmospheric Edinburgh Castle served as beautiful background for Isla and Mark’s wedding day. This was my first wedding at the Edinburgh Castle and I was specially excited to create some fantastic wedding photography artwork. Lots of planning and thinking went into this, but due to high winds at the castle we had to skip few of ideas :) Wedding photos still look amazing and I’m really happy to share these with you. Now I can definitely say that whatever weather is on Princess street , it is not up at the castle. The wind was sooo strong that ladies hats were flying off and Isla’s veil was always finding a way to be in front of her face.

Wow! What an incredible day. The best day of our life’s. After a nervous night sleep we started early. While Danielle was dealing with essential hair makeup and bubbles. Iain and the boys were in the forrest with the clay pigeon shooting.
Our service was stunning, better than we ever imagined. It is happened under the fantastic Tree with Martha’s Vineyard chairs, Sunflowers and sunshine everywhere, while the string quartet played some sweet music.
The day raced on and we just couldn’t slow. it down. We had a walk through the forest,  down to the lake and later over to the glorious beach.

  • Lisa and Joseph – A Winter Hopetoun House Wedding

Hopetoun House Manor made for a beautifully imposing venue – quite possibly the grandest of all wedding venues in Edinburgh, decorated for Christmas charm.
The bride arrived, and this was it. All of the planning, and it comes to that poignant moment where the bride and groom meet at the alter.
The twenty-four hour countdown had begun – and I met the happy couple to-be at the breath-taking venue of Hopetoun House (a venue that could easily claim a title amongst the most beautiful places to get married in Edinburgh).
Photography ideas were discussed, a yearlong wedding plan came together and Lisa and Joseph flipped between excitement and nervousness. As is obligatory – we hoped, prayed and crossed our fingers for good weather, doing a mental sun dance as we walked through the ceremony together.

  • Edinburgh Mansfield traquair wedding photos | Houstons

I loved many parts of the ceremony :) I loved how both of them Saraid-Jane and Stuart talked about Stuart’s jokes which apparently are not funny :) it made a lot of giggles in the room. I really loved the reading about dinosaurs. I think it was really sweet and awesome. Treasure that book guys. Story was beautiful.
Morning part with girls was filled with laughs and Mr and Mrs Newton were busy prepping up everything in kitchen. I loved how relaxed was Mr Newton, very cool and so happy for his daughter. When Mrs Newton said that she made her dress, I was like whaaaat?! Wow it looked amazing, I must say.
Stuart is quiet serious man, but boys had fantastic morning with my second photographer. By looks he tried to keep his cool :) You could see that closer to ceremony he started to be pretty nervous.

  • Edinburgh wedding photography | Balbirnie house

Today I want to share with you my last wedding on 2012 with awesome couple Brona and Ben. Generally I provide Edinburgh wedding photography, but this time we went across to Kingdom of Five, to Balbirnie House Hotel. We were hoping to have nice white winter wedding, but in Scotland mother nature is a bit unpredictable. We had quiet rainy and cold day, so outdoors wedding photography was run run run and quick quick quick.

  • Hopetoun House styled wedding photography for Luxury Scottish Wedding show

Today I will share with you beautiful styled wedding photography I did at the stunning Hopetoun House. Due to my newborn photography commitments not very often I get the chance to work with wedding suppliers. Would like to do it more often, but lack of time is major issue. Hope to work with more companies and gain more contacts. Luxury Scottish Wedding show will be held at the Edinburgh Balmoral Hotel on 19th of January.
